Frisco Easter Egg Hunt
We took Ashtyn to the City of Frisco's Easter Egg hunt. It was held on the FC Dallas soccer fields and she LOVED being able to run around on the nice grass. She ran around until it came time to "hunt" for eggs, and then she decided that she should scoot on her bum from egg to egg. I could not convince her that standing would be more effective. Oh well. She had a blast and still got plenty of eggs and treats.
As we got out of the car, Josh told her that she could show grandma all of the eggs that she gotten. I didn't hear and headed into the house with her basket. She had a mini melt down until I came back out of the house and gave her the basket so that she could make her grand entrance to grandma's house and show off her prized eggs. Oh the joys of having a 2 year old.

First day of gymnastics
Ashtyn is taking a mommy and me gymnastics class at the local recreation center. It's really funny to see these tiny tots run around and "try" to follow instructions. Which for a 2 year old is a VERY difficult thing. So far Ashtyn's new talent is log rolling. Funny I know, but we'd never thought to show her how to do it before. She now log rolls at home on a daily basis. She aparently is enjoying her new found skill. They also trying to get the kids to hop in class. I tried do this with here and show her by example. Hopping as an adult just feels all sorts of awkward and wrong. I'm excited to see how she does on her second class, because it took her a while to warm up the first go around. It took a good ten mins before she would left me put her down.

Grandma's My Buddy
Grandma Taylor and Ashtyn are buddies. She love to be her sidekick and work next to her while grandma is doing projects.
This morning grandma is sewing and so Ashtyn sat next to her to sort. I guess she thought she did not have enough things to sort, and she claimed to all of grandmas spools of thread too.

Swimming at the Pool
Saturday, March 10, 2012
Rachel had to take her dogs to the vet for a check up, so I volunteered to watch Boston. What Rachel didn't know was this babysitting session came complete with a "up-do" for Boston. I think that a faux hawk suits him well.
I got Ashtyn all dress to go swimming at the pool and then could not find our ID cards for the Frisco Athletic center, and then I forgot that the car seat was not buckled in the car, so at that point I figured it was not meant to be, so instead Ashtyn got to play in the rain. She loved it. Especially splashing in the big puddles. She apparently did not mind the last minute change in plans.
